Course Delivery: Video, Online Self-Paced

Course Description:
The DSM-5 was introduced in May 2013 with some significant changes from the DSM-IV-TR. AATBS now offers a 4-hour online video workshop that provides a concise review of diagnostic criteria associated with the most common disorders and will highlight important features, such as subtypes/specifiers and differential diagnosis.
The workshop provides an effective way of systematically learning about the disorders in DSM-5. It is an exceptional supplement to our study programs for mental health professionals preparing to take a licensure exam, and is also valuable for licensed clinicians seeking to become familiar with the DSM-5.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Recognize new, modified, and eliminated diagnostic criteria and classifications in the DSM-5
  2. Delineate the key symptoms associated with differential diagnoses of related disorders
  3. Understand important features associated with the DSM-5 disorders, e.g., subtypes, prevalence, differential diagnosis.

Course Format:

Course materials can be downloaded or read online. To receive a certificate of completion, you must complete an online multiple-choice post-test with a score of 75% or better and complete an online course evaluation.
