The first step in how to become a Psychologist is deciding if this occupation fits your budget and desired lifestyle. To begin, you will need at least four years of a college education which can help you get your Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology or a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Psychology depending on the school you attend and your educational goals.
  2. After obtaining an undergraduate degree, it will be necessary to complete graduate training at one of many schools offering advanced degrees such as Master’s and Doctoral degrees.
  3. You will need to pass the Examination for Licensure as a Psychologist. The cost of the EPPP exam for psychologists is $600.00. This is required for licensure in most states.
  4. The final step is getting licensed or certified by the state where you plan on working after graduation.
