In the present study, researchers developed the Quadrangular Love Theory (QLT) and Quadrangular Love Scale (QLS) to examine love theories. The QLT incorporates the theoretical and empirical psychometrics of love under the four umbrella love dimensions. The researchers developed the QLS to assess their theory on how the feeling of love influences relationships. The researchers conducted two studies to explore the validity and psychometric properties of the QLT and QLS. The results of the QLS had convergent and discriminant validity and internal reliability of compassion, affection, closeness, and commitment.  The results of the QLT supported the discriminant validity of the personality traits as predictors of significant love feelings and love attitudes. The study's benefit enables clinical professionals to develop greater comprehension of the four dimensions of love.
