Welcome Texas Candidates

In 2019, Texas legislation created the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (“Council”) to oversee the various examination boards for psychologists, marriage and family therapists, social workers, and counselors. The Council plays an integral role in regulation of these services and works closely with the individual boards to uphold its mission of providing qualified and competent practitioners who meet the highest standards in ethics, accountability, efficiency, and openness. All the examination boards under the Council have similar requirements for licensure including education, examination, and experience minimums. Check below to see what those are for your licensure.
