Course Description: "Ladyboys" is the locally known name to identify transgender females in Southeast Asia. Human trafficking, historically, has focused on females, yet transgender females have been neglected. The researchers explore the perspectives and experiences of transgender females in the sex trade to gain knowledge about the vulnerabilities and trajectory and provide social service recommendations for this population. Seventy-four percent of the participants reported being sexually harassed, while forty percent sustained some physical violence. This study benefits skilled professionals who are working with transgender females to provide resources while comprehending their challenges.
