Course Description: The AATBS Certification for Alzheimer’s Disease Treatment Specialist is a self-paced home-study course that provides 23 hours of instruction. Dr. Hori earned a PhD in psychology from the University of California at Riverside. He was an Associate-In Professor and Research Assistant at the University of California at Riverside, where he supervised the completion of over 50 research projects in psychology. He is credited with three publications in peer-reviewed journals.

In addition to becoming a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias Treatment Specialist, you also receive 23 credit hours for continuing education.

These certification courses are appropriate for professionals in the mental health field. This includes psychologists, social workers, professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, substance abuse counselors, psychiatric nurses, psychiatrists and other qualified professionals with mental health training.

AATBS is an approved provider of continuing education for many organizations, including, APA, ASWB, and many additional boards. To determine whether you are eligible to receive continuing education credit, go to the AATBS list of approvals.
