Course Description: There is an existing common neurobiological and environmental ground between the varying addictive disorders, including both substance abuse and addictive behavior. Despite increasing research regarding online pornography addiction, little guidance exists to discern pathological from non-pathological use. The study aimed to gather existing knowledge on problematic online pornography use as a pathological entity and to summarize what is known about the entity and outline areas of further research. Researchers suggest that treatment strategies focus on mindfulness and acceptance-based psychotherapy, each being equally or more important than a pharmacological approach.Â
