Course Description: Education and mental health changed worldwide due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic from in-person to online. The challenges disrupted how educators fostered the skillset of social work students. The researchers utilized a reflexive collaborative autoethnography, focusing on the ethic of love to collect the data for the article. Three themes emerged from the research: the interrelatedness of love for others and self-compassion; love for others fosters self-compassion; and love as the willingness to learn with students and colleagues. The study benefits professionals working with students to illustrate the importance of relationship-based models of clinical social workers.
