The Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) has announced that a new Test Content Outline edition has been developed, and the current Task List 5 will soon be replaced by the new Test Content Online (TCO) 6th Edition. This new Test Content Outline 6th Edition will require BCBAs to demonstrate content and task knowledge of the 9 domains identified by the BACB and to apply these ethical principles to their work with clients.
While retaining the same 9 content domains currently included in Task List 5, Test Content Outline 6th Edition did receive modest updates from Task List 5. These modifications, which include revisions to task statements, reorganization of content, and the integration of diversity, equity, and inclusion, reflect the evolving nature of the field and the increasing expectations placed on behavior analysts.
The BCBA examinations will be based on the new Test Content Outline 6 as of January 1, 2025.
